We the WSCS Staff are thinking of you much and hope all is going well for you in these trying days.
We are sending out this email to update you with some new information and how that impacts what we do at WSCS for the next few weeks.
This update applies to both Oakhurst and Fresno.
Our Governor announce that California is going into a stay home order effective March 19, 2020.

For additional guidance on essential functions, and furthermore, our role as essential employees, please see information at https://www.cisa.gov/government-facilities-sector.
This means that all WSCS teachers will do their Advising Meetings with you by phone and computer from their home. With the Shelter in Place in effect you are still allowed to go to your school building to drop off materials at our drop boxes.
Please continue to do your schooling at home, record your attendance and attend your Advising Meetings by phone or computer meeting with your Advising Teacher. If there is any school related materials or curriculum you need please speak with your Advising Teacher.
GHS onsite class teachers and MHS math teachers have been working to change their onsite classes into online classes. These classes will resume the week of March 23rd.
Here is some good news! There will be no state CAASPP testing this year!
Governor Newsom issued an Executive Order yesterday to suspend all standardized testing this school year!
Yosemite Unified and Fresno Unified are both providing school meals for free to anyone in their communities who are 18 years old and under. These meals are provided in a “carry out” fashion. They do not check ID and there is no qualification to receive these meals other than being under 18 years old. The students do need to be present to pick the meals up.

As a reminder, at this time we are hoping for our schools to open again on April 14. However, as we all have discovered, this may have to be extended. We will continue to keep you posted when important information changes.
